In Yulara we started seeing end of the tourism season. The caravan park there was not too much occupied. In King Canyon Resort it was almost empty. Just a few caravans or trailers and that was all. It is due to the hot temperatures starting from October.
We had a small rain at night and next day the smoke disappeared. We were ready for a walk to Kings Canyon. The walk started from the car park and it did not seem to be encouraging for us. At the beginning, the canyon is hidden by nearby rocks so we did not know what to expect. First part was a step climb on stairs. Nell was complaining as in last three weeks we did not do much walking and she was not used to it anymore. However once we got up, the walk had eased and was better and better later on. We could appreciate different rock formations and not far later, the canyon had revealed its magnificence. The views were really spectacular as the canyon walls were high and straight with many abysses. It is not difficult up there to fall off the cliff! Since that time we could see more or less the canyon with its beautifulness.
