The road to Port Hedland was so boring that in the end of the day I was so exhausted. It was straight with small bush on both sides. When we were getting closer to Port Hedland we could see like a moon landscape, similar to Coober Pedy but this time with big machinery. The town is famous from its mining sites and mining industry is very big here.

The caravan park was the most expensive so far ($54 for a powered site). It is due to the fact that many locals work in mining and live in caravan parks so it becomes very busy in season. The town is very industrial and there is nothing to do here. We went shopping and next day drove to Karijini National Park.
