Where I stayed
Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park
Derby was a nice break after 16 days in dust on Gibb River Road. We had to clean our trailer that was dusty from the top to the bottom. This time we did not drive around to much as we wanted to rest properly. Evenings we spent at the jetty enjoying the sunset. The only sightseeing we did was the old Derby Gaol.
First time I had opportunity to fish properly from the jetty. Before I did not do it as the salties where everywhere. Surprisingly I was lucky I got my first fish, Mulloway, 90 cm and 5 kg. When I got back to Caravan Park Kasha was in a big shock. There was a big gathering with people from the neighbourhood. Honestly, we did not know how to filet the fish, but one man helped us and we managed to have 8 meals from it.
Thus, Derby was a nice and lucky rest. Now we are going to see famous Broome.
