We heard that Kalumburu road is very corrugated and worse to whatever we have seen so far on Gibb River road. Unfortunately it is true. I have no idea when grader was seen in this area. The corrugations were big, about 30 cm wide. We drove from 70 – 80 km/h. At this speed it was reasonable to go through without killing both car and trailer. When we got finally to Drysdale River we had only small issues: tail lights screws in Patrol came off and the light was hanging out, right support leg in trailer went down and the plastic foot was missing, in left support trailer leg the plastic came off and was hanging only on one screw. In general it is not so bad; hopefully there is no more that we have not seen yet.

Drysdale River station is well supplied and equipped considering where it is – in the middle of nowhere. There is fuel station, reception with small shop, repair workshop, Caravan Park, and proper restaurant with good meals. Also, there is a public phone placed in an old refrigerator. You have to sit down on a chair and make a phone call. There is no similar place like this!

Tomorrow we are going to Mitchell Falls, the most spectacular falls in Australia. We will see.
