Nearly at the end of a fab week in New York, there seemed to be only one place to go on Saturday morning, to mix with 'friends'. Greenwich Village is today really called West Village but still has much of it's famous arty and bohemian as well as gay atmosphere. Christopher Park, Sheridan Square & the Stonewall Inn are at its' very heart
This morning the Saturday market was in full swing and the place to buy anything from food to clothes and much more.... Jess was even approached by a lady who, putting a hand on her shoulder, said, "Would you like one?" .... meaning simply a Chinese shoulder massage...!!!
Like many New Yorkers Saturday is also about a visit to the park. We went all the way up to the very top of Manhatten, north of Harlem, and into Washington Heights to the Fort Tryon Park which overlooks the Hudson River to the west & the Bronx to the east. Beautiful views, beautiful people to watch and even many late summer flowers still in bloom.
And tonight? We're off to a great US big meat BBQ.....! Tell you about it tomorrow!
