We finally arrived in Bangkok after a very long flight. The weather is very hot and we have been enjoying it. We wandered around Khoa San Road for a while and just took in the atmosphere of Bangkok and then we did some sight seeing around the city yesterday including the Big Buddha, the Lucky Buddha and the Emerald Buddha. We saw the Golden Mount and Wat Prah Kaew (which houses the Emerald Buddha)also. There is lots to see and do, we'll be taking a river tour today and seeing a few other temples around the city and tomorrow we'll go for a day trip to Ayuthaya (the old capital of Thailand). The people have been very friendly and eager to please. The only problems we have had is with a cabbie trying to get more money than we had agreed on and a Tuk-Tuk (3-wheeled motorped)trying to take us to the Disco when we wanted to go back to the hotel. Nothing we can't handle. When we have a little more time we'll send pictures.

Hey guys, we were eager to hear from you to know all was well from the initial trip. We enjoyed the pictures. Where were the nudes? Was that netted bed the one you guys used? The pictures of the bay, was that from your bungalow porch? We have already called Mom and Dad to let them know we had a letter and pictures so they can stop over. Just a sports udate. All 3 undefeated teams were beaten, even Duke. MSU beat Iowa by 30 !!!! MSU vs UM is Wed at UM. Will let you know. BE SAFE, Love Dave & Jody.
