As things have started to pick up in terms of my project load (I'm starting my Youth Business Course next week), here is another project to add to the list that I'm really excited about.  I'm helping to plan and bring motivated teenagers to a Youth Sports Camp in the Dominican Republic.  The Sports Camp called,"Vivir Para Jugar, Jugar Para Vivir!" (Live to Play, Play to Live) has been established to not only be a fun way to teach kids about different sports, but also contribute to a healthy body, healthy mind lifestyle.  It is going to be happening at the end of August, but we're planning now because funding is going to be the hardest part, this is where you all come in.

Please visit the following link to make a donation of WHATEVER SIZE POSSIBLE.  From giving up that double white chocolate mocha latte for a day or two, you can really help give these kids a great weekend that may inspire them for the rest of their lives.  (I mean, or give up that shirt, ipod, or car too, feel free to donate as much as you want!)

Thank you so much for considering this project worthy of your funds and of course, thank you for the continuous support I have been receiving thus far in my Peace Corps Dominican Republic experience.

Camps are the best!
Hey Justin! So glad to see you are helping with a youth camp down there. I think they are hands down the most successful things PCV's can plan and implement during their service. While it is a lot of work, it is nearly a guaranteed success since the kids will always have fun and so embrace the new experience. I facilitated many camps while in the Philippines and they are some of my favorite memories of my service. I made a small contribution to the camp and please keep me posted about how it goes. Did you and your batch mates attend a PDM before writing the grant for the PCPP grant? Keep up the good work!
