It's Saturday Jan 1, 2011 and I'm in the office. The question is: why am I in the office?

Let's not bore you with the details, so here is a quick rundown:

I'm an engineer (hence engine_newyear say it fast maybe it makes sense)

Been working since 2002 as above

2010 decided that in 2011 I was taking a year off to travel and learn the arte suave or the gentle art known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

So when you make the decision to leave a good job, you kinda need to tie up loose ends so the project work you are doing doesn't turn into a complete debacle. I'm in the office trying to tie those ends.

It still doesn't sound like a good reason, especially when I live in Perth Australia and I could be at the beach right now.
