Before we left on our trip to the Grand Canyon,  we first had to get John's credit card that he left at the restaurant the night before.  Unfortunately now, Tom-tom has decided to not work and we have to "rough it" without a GPS telling us where to go.  We still have the internet here and there so we aren't roughing it too much.

On the way to Arizona, there tons of trains and I'm not talking about little trains. These trains had 100+ cars and went all across the horizon.  There was also tons of signs for deer again but still there were none to be found.  We made a quick stop to the Petrified Forest National Park and I bought an Arizona shot glass.  Since Kansas, I have bought a shot glass in every state we have been in and I will continue to do so.  I may just buy some of the states I missed on eBay.

When we got the Grand Canyon, it was pretty impressive.  It was super humid and there was a haze so it almost looked like a backdrop.  John and I did a little more hiking this trip down into the canyon a ways (4 mile hike total).  I thought I was on vacation!  But it was a great experience.  I wasn't impressed with the restaurants in the area though but where else are you going to go?

Now we had 2 days without plans between now and Vegas so we were debating on going to Utah or Phoenix but we decide to spend the 2 extra days in Vegas grabbing a room at the Golden Nugget! So next stop, VIVA LAS VEGAS!
