I have a favourite that we call Peeb – he is always covered in his dinner and has a tendency to lose his shoes!
This evening we were taken to the villages to see the work that the charity does in helping support the women in running their own businesses
At the next village there were thankfully fewer dogs and it was much quieter –we made our way down a road and collected about 20 very excitable children. There were 2 women outside a house making firecrackers – Nida and Julien both had a go whilst I played with the kids (precariously balanced across an open sewer). We also met a woman who made paper tubes by using a glue paste and a rod to roll the paper. For every tube she makes, she earns 2 ruppees so 35 would earn her £1. Her family were lovely and even invited us in for food.
