The beginning of our trip was uneventful. Sleepy but excited to get going, we ate breakfast at Edmonton International, whisked through security and hopped on our plane at 12PM Edmonton time. The flight to Montreal was 4 hours, and we arrived at 6PM local time, where we were once again delayed waiting for our flight to Paris. In the meantime we grabbed some dinner at Jugo Juice, or Jus Jugo if you're Quebecois.

The flight to Paris was 7 hours long, and after that long spent sitting in a cramped plane, we were all pretty glad to have the chance to stretch our legs. After the longest line-up you can imagine at customs, we went through security again we checked in at AirEuropa and made our way to our gate. We took a shuttle to a smaller plane that brought us to Malaga, Andalusia in about 2 hours.

By the time we arrived and found the rest of our baggage, we were jetlagged, hungry and irritable. We somehow managed to stuff all our luggage into the car we rented and proceeded to make the 4 hour trip to Torrevieja. After getting lost for a while in Malaga, we made it on to the freeway. Barely conscious, we used a payphone to call the housekeepers and they gave us a short tour of the villa.

Now that we're stocked up on provisions, we're ready to get some much needed sleep and start fresh tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow I'll upload some pictures of the villa! We miss you all.

Granny & Gramps on

Good to hear you had a fairly good trip. That is a long time on planes and in airports. Sorry to hear about Tashie. I got a bunch of spider bits on the plane coming from Panama and they were so itchy and annoying. Took a few days to clear up. Get rested and we wish we were there too. Love to all. Catch you later.
