Locronan, Brittany, France

So today we took a little road trip to the nearby village of Locronan. It's famed to be the prettiest little town and Britanny. It certainly lived up to it's name. The majority of the houses and little shops were very old buildings made of stone. It makes you feel like you've stepped back into the middle ages. That is, if you take away all the cars and other modern aspects of it. We walked up a very steep hill to an old mansion that belnged to an old mayor. Unfortunately, it being a Sunday and winter, it was closed. But the view was great! We also looked around a lovely little shop in town. They sold every kind of beer and other liquors they make in Brittany, and they had a map on the wall showing which town each beer came from. There was also all sort of candies, jams and honeys. We bought some treats and some local cider and hopped back in the car to go home. Enjoy the new pictures!

Awesome pictures girls. Look like beautiful old buildings. Darren showed them to Auntie Mug and she said they look the same as they did in her history book 70 years ago. They sure know how to preserve things.
