Flew into San Francisco and made it to my hostel late in the afternoon. I walked down to Fisherman’s Wharf hoping to get a ticket for a tour of Alcatraz but they were sold out a week in advanced. While I was down there I checked out Pier 39 which was full of shops, restaurants, amusements rides and games, and some great views across the bay. Unfortunately the fog was so thick it blocked the view of half of Alcatraz island. By 6 o’clock I was being blown away and absolutely freezing so I headed back to the hostel for the night.
