Harlem – I came in search of the Apollo Theatre and ended up spending my time shopping. The stores had such cheap clothes, dresses and shoes for under $10. I don't know how I’m going to get it all home. It didn’t bother me but I stuck out like a sore thumb in Harlem. It had a predominately African-American population and in my walk around the area I only saw two other white women. Oh well, I stumbled upon some bargains so it was worth the trip.

Central Park – I entered from in front of the American Museum of History and walked back to Belvedere Castle which was open this time. I climbed to the top and had a fantastic view onto the Turtle Pond and the Great Lawn. I followed the path that led me past The Lake where people were paddling in boats and down to Strawberry Fields to see the Imagine mosaic.

Top of the Rock – I met up with Kathy and her daughter Chantelle for dinner and a look around Bleeker Street in Soho. We then made out way to Rockefeller Center and went to the "Top of the Rock". The city looks absolutely stunning lit up at night, and looking down on it all was amazing. Sadly it started to rain a little so we took our photos and stepped back inside to look from behind the glass. It was not the most pleasant experience travelling up and down in the elevator, it has a glass roof which I took one peek at on the way up and felt sick. I wish we’d been warned about that! Despite that, this is a most do for anyone visiting, especially at night.
