'Quan An Ngon' Ho Chi Minh City - Best Vietnamese food
'Sozo' Ho Chi Minh City - Best cookies and for a good cause

Best Hotels:
1 - Phuoc An Hotel, Hoi An

3 - Kim Ngan, Nha Trang

Worst Hotels:
1 - Hoa Hong, Dong Hoi - no hot water, no breakfast, just a bed and a smashed window
2 - Astoria, Hanoi - Constant pressure to go on tours and shocking wiring
3 - Diem Thanh, Hue, didn't change our sheets in 8 days, screwed up our visa extension and a huge family of cockroaches

Worst Tour:

Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi

Best Bits:
In Vietnam everything looks like it should be a postcard, glimpses of conical hats in rice paddies, water buffalo submerged in lotus ponds, the sun set in Halong Bay, Sunrise with hundreds of exercising Vietnamese in Nha Trang. We wonder, with Vietnam embracing tourism and the market economy and with a large proportion of Vietnamese being under thirty, will their culture and traditions be forgotten ?

mosquito bites!!
I had my worst bites when we were stuck on the Little Yellow train of the Catalan's and had to use a most undesirable space as a loo, second worst was the first public loo used in northern Thailand. Here the lesson was swiftly learnt and spray was regular in its use!!!

Love Ma
