It's great to hear from friends and family at home while on the road. It's also really nice to know you are all enjoying the blog and photo's and I know that many of you are true followers!
When I arrived at the busstation in Cusco I met two Australian guys who were also heading to Arequipa. We got talking and when we arrived in Arequipa they decided to come to the same hostel as me and see if they could also stay there. As they didn't have much time in Arequipa they decided to go on a 3 day trekking tour of the nearby Colca Canyon the next day and asked if I would like to come too. There was also an English couple at the hostel who where going on the tour and a couple of Swiss girls. I was interested in doing a tour of the canyon, so decided to go with them!
This was a bit of a last minute decision as this was Tuesday evening and we would be collected at 03:00am on Wednesday morning to start the 3 day tour. So bit of a rush to get my things sorted of what I did and didn't want to take with me. And again a very early start in the morning... But it was well worth it....
