Heya McCaela here, reporting on what I couldn't inside the plane. So after I had to turn off the laptop, we took off like normal and everything was going fine until our plane just drops 3,000 feet! Oh it was horrible, everyone was in a panic. The pilot reassured everyone that everything was okay. He said it was because of a storm. When we landed it was about 4 a.m our time and 8 a.m. Moroccan time. Everyone in the city was awake and very chipper, and we were the total opposite. Grouchy and tired we practically ran to the nearest rental station to get our car. Then sped to the hotel to get some much needed jet lag sleep. Surprisingly we all slept until 9 a.m. the next day. When we woke up we lazed about for a bit and then we went to the Anfa Hotel where the Casablanca Conference was held in 1943. Though there wasn't any particular museum, we learned from the manager about the meeting of Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. We also learned that this is where Roosevelt agreed to bomb Europe and to invade Sicily. These two moves became the beginning of the end for Hitler and the Nazis. Wow, I had never realized how just a few things could have such a domino effect on something else, but personally I'm glad it did. Well, guys I'm cutting this post short. We're all zonked from the jet lag, catch up later!
