What I did
We stayed with Dominic's university friend Julie, husband Paul and daughter Imogen. The house was really traditional for the area and made of wood. A few years ago they had a fire (which seem to be very common in Canada) and had to have a new roof and lots of repairs.
We went to the Montmorency Falls, which were worth a visit, but parking was really expensive ($10) so we managed to find a diner car park instead. We had a nice walk and walked down the 479 (according to Dominic!) steps to the bottom of the falls (where we got quite wet) and then all the way back up again (worse than it looked!).
We drove around the island d'orleans and visited a park where they commemorate their ancestors who moved to the island about 300 years ago. There was a very interesting sculpture representing ancestors and descendants connected together.
