Well I still have no idea who is reading this.. It would be great if people could say something before they go so I can know!!! And also to know there are real people actually reading what is happening out here.
So today has been eventful. Again.
Yesterday I spent maybe over an hour following a dog we had seen at the hospital weeks and weeks ago. When we first saw it we both had an intake of breath because it was so so thin. We followed it then too but it got away suprisingly quick.
We had looked for it numerous times and asked people around if they knew it but heard nothing and had to assume it was dead.
And then there is was walking around the grass! I have no idea how it is still alive, it's still a walking skeleton. We tried to feed it some meat and biscuits which it was very wary to have. It was impossible to get anywhere near it. So Gemma dashed off to get the sleeping medicine that we can put on some meat in the hope that he'd eat it and doze off nearby.
Unfortunatly this dog had other ideas and as soon as Gemma left the hospital grounds it was off...
i discovered a whole new part of town I hadn't been to and met some Army type men along the way.
Pissed off some people in a cafe by going around their bins and only being able to say hello and thankyou in Thai!
All the while Gemma was waiting at the hospital not having a clue where i was..
And in the end i did lose it, and returned sweating like a pig!!!
Delightful
So we went back today, got some things for lunch and wandered around looking for him/her. Sat for a while and then decided it was a bad idea just waiting. He could be in so many places that it would be pot luck for him to turn up here. Frustrating but we need to learn more about where this dog goes and especially sleeps.
We managed to give some rabies vaccines today which is always good.
Still haven't a clue what is wrong with the ten cats. A couple seemed dehydrated so we gave sine fluids in the neck but other than that we have no idea what to do.
Black mother dog does have puppies!!!! ALthough it's not really a good thing as they aren't going to have good lives. We went to feed her tonight and she took longer than usual to appear and also came from a road she hasn't come from for a few days. And she had a trail of puppies behind her. I think 6 or 7. All have ringworm but that is best left to clear up by itself.
So mixed emotions about that one. She also seemed much much older, not playful or excited as she usually is. She seemed exhausted and i'm not surprised..they were leaping everywhere.
Still not sure on what's wrong with Monkey, he is still vomiting and eating small amounts.
Need to go to Sai Yok...maybe Friday.
I put a tube down Marlow's throat the other day in the hope it would have the same effect as last time and stop his vomiting temporarily...but no such luck. We have been able to be stricter with his meds like be sure he hasn't eaten for an hour before he has them etc And he seems to be holding onto his foot better...but not completely so it's still a long way off.
We will take him to the vets too and ask or rather demand certain tests are done so we can have a proper diagnosis. It's impossible trying to treat an animal when you are just guessing.
The 2 cats in my room will be going home tomorrow asthey have finished their courses of anti biotics and seem lots better. We still think one has kidney failure so will need to visit him but there isn't much we can do.
Looks like i'll either end up with some of the 10 cats or the skeleton dog next.
