I loved Ile d'Ouessant. Despite the cold and wind (and it was cold and windy all morning and at the end of the day), it was wonderful. They had rented bikes for us to ride all around the island and gave us a picnic lunch to eat whenever and wherever (although it looked sort of shifty when I opened it, so my friend and I opted for a pizza instead - a French four cheese pizza apparently includes Emmenthal and goat cheese - very interesting). Very cute little Breton houses, lots of sheep, a beautiful church, lots of weathered stone crucifixes erected all over the island, and lots of sometimes difficult biking. We also got to relax on the beach and on the cliff above the beach sitting and talking and writing postcards, but we weren't among the few brave enough to get in the cold water, despite having our swimsuits on.
