. it was pretty funny. I guess winter is off season and full of old people. summer time its just like cancun. the buffet was ok, mainly old people food, soft, sugar free. bleh. after we headed out to one of the bars a promoter told us about. one of the girl’s dad came to visit for the night. we went to a fun tiki type bar. the drink specials were insaneeee. for having 10 people we got 3 liters of sangria. I spilt one with liz. we had super long straws. it was fun. we then got a drink and it was buy 1 get 1 free. I got 2 long islands. it was a lot to drink. it was around 11 and we had all been up for over 24hrs so we called it a night. the old people were having some kind of dance and were really really loud. I felt really lame that old people were raging harder than we were, but we were all so tired.
Saturday we got up and went straight to the beach. we bought a bucket with long straws and multiple jugs of liquor. the 1st one was sangria with champagne. the second was a sex on the beach. the bucket seemed bottomless. we laid out all day. nick and matt got massages from the annoying asian women. then a few of us walked around and shopped a little. then we headed back to the hotel for delicious old people food again. we saw the old people performing karaoke. it was so funny. we then pregamed a little bit before going out. we were all really tired from all of the sun even though we literally did nothing the past 2 days
. we headed to a Mexican place. I got a sex on the beach. we were all starving since old people food isn’t very filling. we got an order of chips and devoured it in under 5mins. it was pretty impressive. we got 2 more baskets of chips and then went in search of another bar. while walking along the beach we met 2 guys from sweeden. the were pretty funny. the one guy kept running and trying to find this one bar. we wandered with them for awhile and then said we were heading back to our hotel to find a closer bar. they came with us. we ended up at the same bar we went to on Friday. I didn’t get anything because I was so tired. everyone else forgot that the buy one get one free special was going on. some people literally groaned when they saw how much alcohol they got. I drank a little of a long island. I headed back around 1 with matt and nick. we were all tired. on the way back nick and matt took rood blocks that were leaned against a wall and set them up in the street. it was pretty amusing especially when a car went through it and was so confused.
Sunday we had to check out by 11 so half of us went to the pool and the other half went on a bike ride. I was still in the chill out mood so I stayed at the pool and tanned for awhile. I then played putt-putt at our hotel. the course was made of cement. so jank. after I went out to eat before leaving for the airport. the service was so bad and the food took foreverrrr to come
. we then all laid by the pool before having to leave. I was so sad to leave. palma de mallorca is my second favorite place I have been to so far. it was so gorgeous and so relaxing. so I basically sat on a beach/pool for 3 days straight but that’s just what I needed.
so at the airport I was joking around about getting deported. I had yet to get my visa. as of Friday our 90 days were up and I was officially illegally living in Europe. I didn’t think they would look through my passport very close so I wasn’t that worried. I was wrong. I get to the counter and the women is leafing through all of my pages. I have a lot of stamps in my passport so it made it difficult for her to find the one I got in January. she found it and saw I had been here for more than 90 days and called me out on it. she began asking me a lot of questions. I was starting to get really really really nervous but kept my cool. I told her I was in the process of getting my visa. I lied and said the office was out of visa stickers so they gave me a letter until I got my visa sticker. she then asks to see the letter. im like oh shit. so I grab this letter we were all told to carry at all times. it was a residency letter saying where I lived in Luxembourg and that I was a student here. this was not the visa letter that I claimed I had. she looked at it as I held my breath. she said ok and stamped my boarding pass
. good lord I almost had a heart attack and cried. I was so close to being in deep deep shit. I still cant believe I got through. then I was worried my bag was going to have to be checked because my dumb mountain man bag is so damn huge. I snuck by without having to check it. the ryan air flight was jank as usual. the flights are just so terrible. it was not a pleasant flight at all. we got on the bus back to Luxembourg at 9 and arrived at 11:30. I had to walk home. but I was just relieved I made it home. I got my visa on Monday so now I am legally living here thank god.
all in all palma was amazing. I didn’t want to leave. it was a great vacation and a much needed break. I will now be traveling for 2 weeks straight. 1st on my study tour to berlin and Prague and then my spring break in croatia. it will be a good time, but a lot of traveling. my time in Luxembourg is coming to an end so quickly L only 3 weeks left, not ok.
Thursday night at 2:30am a group of 10 of us got on a bus to the Frankfurt airport. it was pretty rough and we were all tired. our flight took off at 6ish and we landed at 9. right away palma mallorca was gorgeous. it is an island off of spain. the weather was absolutely gorgeous with palm trees everywhere. we headed for our hotel, got a little lost but found it eventually. we got there and our rooms weren't ready so we hung out a bit. then we went in search for food and the beach. we found a pizza place on the beach. I got a pizza and a sangria. it was delicious. at 11 we went to the beach. I laid out all day. some of the boys played with paddle balls and went in the cold water. I was just enjoying the sun and getting a tan. it felt so good to just relax and it felt like an actual vacation. around 5ish we headed back to our hotel and showered. we got free dinner so we headed down to the dinning room. this place literally looked like a nursing home. we were no joke the only people under the age of 70
