Got the bus across the Andes to the border for a relatively painless border crossing amidst wonderful scenery. More snow on the mountains and fantastic coloured rocks contrasting with the snow and clear blue skies.

Mid afternoon we approach the bustle of Santiago where we realise we have now been several times and it is our fifth time in Chile, surprised customs didnt ask any questions! At the bus station we buy our tickets to get to the airport later on and then spend some MORE time on the internet planning for Central America.

Bus to airport is pretty quick, they dont seem to suffer from rush hour traffic here. The sunset was amazing with the mountains in the distance, unfortunately it was difficult to photograph from the window of a moving bus.

Check into our flight to Miami and onto Guatemala City. We reminisce over our time here in SA and how much we love this continent. Not sure if we will come back soon as its against our ethos to return somewhere but we have promised ourselves to do the Galapagos one day so spose we will be back!
