Arrived here about 6am this morning ready to embark on reacclimatise again having sacrificed our height going to Lima.

Town is pretty small and not a lot to see but the views are stupendous of the mountains around covered in snow. We eventually found a hostel Nana for 20 Soles which has a great view of the mountains from our room.

Have spent most of the day trying to work out which trek to do and which agency to do it with. After much tooing and frooing we are going with Enrique Expedition to do the Santa Cruz loop on our own for 5 days, bit longer than planned but think it will be worth it. This area is called the mini Switzerland which feels a bit odd considering we live nearer to Switzerland than here but have never trekked there! Will report back on our trek obviously.

Not much else to see here just bought some warm jackets in the market and have spent the last few hours updating this as has been a long time since we did it last. Dave has just spoken to his parents recently back from Labour Party Conference. Am a bit jealous I wasnt there esp as it was TBs last as PM but would probably have cried during his speech being the sad git that I am.

Off to load up on carbs again before our trek tomorrow. Fingers crossed it wont be too hard!
