Woke up early and watched the light change on the falls and yet more water as it had rained all night. Impressive stuff.
After break we get on the boat to go across the river and do a walk to the viewpoint nearer the falls. This involved about an hours walk through dense jungle trying not to trip over the tree roots, through pools and streams, uphill, avoiding any dangerous wildlife. Was good fun and Dave did a tarzan impression with one of the tree vines.
Unfortunately as we reached the top we couldnt really see the falls clearly as it was so windy and cloudy. There was so much water blowing our way we couldnt even take photos. Was good fun though.
Back to the camp for lunch before going back down the river which was much quicker going with the flow but just as wet! We reached Canaima town again and stayed at a ´hotel´ there. Buying anything in this place is very expensive as it all has to be flown in so we just opted for the free drinks!
