Hello Everyone,Again on Wednesday, I was off to Cangumbang after work. Brandon tagged along with me again to get some fresh air and time with the kids after a long day of work. Yet again, we arrived in Cangumbang as the sun was nearly set, I just can't seem to beat the setting sun.
The kids were excited to see him but slowly trickled up the stairs to the center through the light rain. Wednesday’s snack was peanut butter filled crackers at the kid’s request. And some Oreos for my 6 little children, at the request of May Joy and unknowingly provided by my boss’s stash of food for my project. I ran out of snacks yet again, I think I may have to start purchasing 50 snacks just to fill all the anxious little bellies when I visit.
The kids were extra cheery tonight with Brandon’s late night visit, and the thunderstorm rolling in. They all packed in to Nanay Elay’s house while I gave her some more groceries for the children. Everyone jumped when a crack of thunder burst through Cangumbang, and Brandon and I knew we should head how rather quickly before the storm hit. Josey Rose and May Joy told me they didn’t have any fare for school for the week since their mother hadn’t come home. I had given them enough for school Tuesday hoping they would see their mother before me, but they didn’t. So I asked Nanay Elay to give them fare money for me, and I paid her extra for the rice, which the kids had also ran out of.
Their need is truly complete, love, care, direction, consoling, feeding, respect….I hope that I can provide these things for them to my best ability, however in the end I know I cannot be the mother they need all the time. I continue to hope and pray that she will learn to be what they need.
