Hello Everyone,

Monday was a normal day at the site, nothing too exciting to report. The construction team is working extra hard this week to make our new deadline on Friday for pouring the second floor. They worked on Sunday this week too, hoping that we will finish early Thursday so they will have more rest time before the long day on Friday. They have more than half the steel bars in place which form a grid pattern of support for the second floor. All of the second floor columns are in place, and the floor boards will be complete once the plumbing materials needed for the kitchen and bathroom are delivered in the next few days. By Thursday we will also add more coco lumber to the scaffolding to make sure it will support the second floor once the cement is poured.

The children enjoyed some juice in the afternoon, although it was difficult to get the water jug filled. One of the children was waiting in a line for water for 30 minutes and there were still 13 people ahead of him, but luckily one of the mothers by the site had a jug of water we could use.

I gave Jon-Jon and his siblings food again today, the mother should be home on Tuesday so we can sort everything out. I also gave Jon-Jon a bath, he was filthy after playing in the ever growing sand pile. Their family is also having issues with clothing, the little ones clothes are quickly falling apart so I will look for some new ones this week. I just wish I could give them everything they need.

I am so thankful for the dedicated work of the construction team, they are truly helping me make this project happen swiftly and efficiently :)

Let me know what you spend on clothes and I can send it or pay you back. Be frugal, of course, but that should be very simple comparing the costs of many other things there and state side. Love you!
