Hello Everyone,

We are really getting in to a systematic flow at the site, hopping from one column to another, making them taller every day. The frames are continuously being moved as the cement dries and the workers move their assembly line from one to the next.

The children and I are working on filling rice sacks of gravel and sand for the construction workers to pour in to the cement mixer. It is a good job for the children although sometimes they all want to pour their materials in to the one bag I am holding. ;)

Things are progressing at a fast pace, and I am hoping all the columns and tie beams will be poured by next Wednesday. Hopefully by then the scaffolding will be completed as well. Next Thursday and Friday we will break for the coming holiday, but Saturday the workers may still be at the site. It will be good for everyone to have a break before we start pouring the second floor, which will no doubt be the hardest, longest task of all.

I am in awe of the community help and support we have received along the way. So many people devote their time to help with the construction and others help cook the meals of the workers, while even more stand by a watch the building come together.

The contractor has the final plans prepared and I am so excited to show the community what the final center will look like :)

Day 10 was another successful day!

Remember there is nothing wrong with redirecting the kids a little. If you insist they take turns or leave you alone for a minute, that is fine! (If it's a language/understanding problem.... that makes it more difficult...) You aren't just the fun aunt there, you have to be their supervisor and teacher a little bit. Hope that makes sense. Love you!
