Hi Everyone,
This week started with yet another holiday off of placement on Monday. I spent the day relaxing and catching up on sleep from the busy weekend.  Tuesday and Wednesday I went to placement as usual. Jonathan is due for his 6 week checkup/re evaluation but it keeps getting pushed back due to budget and scheduling issues.  Hopefully by the end of this week or the start of next week he will be able to go.  He is still doing great in therapy and is growing more and more handsome every day, even the DSWD staff point it out almost every day. :)

Tuesday afternoon I had lunch at my Nanay and Tatay's new canteen they opened downtown. They sell drinks and traditional Filipino dishes. I am excited for them to have a new endeavor and I am praying for their success. I also had to take both Mark and Erica to the hospital on Tuesday. Erica has been coughing terribly and was having some trouble breathing on Monday evening. She found out today that she has pneumonia, so please keep her in your prayers! Mark had some infections from some bug bites, but is otherwise alright, so his ailment should be a quicker fix than Erica at least.

Today I was back out in Cangumbang, where the build-a-home project was completed. I met Aldous there to survey houses and make a decision on what houses to choose for the next two houses we will be building. I still can't believe we are going to be able to build two! I am extremely excited, and thrilled to be part of all of this. One of the families is a single mother with 6 children, her husband left her for another woman/family a few years ago. Their home is tiny and they are definitely in high need of a house, as well as a bathroom. Both of which will be possible to build, and will commence in the next 2 weeks or so.  The other home we chose is currently on stilts but it tilting badly.  It isn't known for sure how much longer it will last. I think if I remember correctly the couple has 3 children. Both of the sponsor children, who's homes will be demolished and rebuilt, just became sponsor children in the past few months. So it will be quite an exciting time for both of their families.  Aldous said we will surprise the families next week with the news, just days before the building begins. :)

Thanks again to all of you who have supported me throughout my trip, I am forever grateful for all of you.
