Hello Everyone,
It has been a long time since I have blogged and shared my experiences in the Philippines.  I am so excited to tell all of you that in 2 months I will be embarking on yet another journey to the Philippines!! I will be departing on July 27th to volunteer again for Volunteer for Visayans until the middle of December.  I am so thankful and feel so blessed to have this opportunity again.
This July-December I will be working for the community center of VFV doing arts & crafts, teaching music/dance, and helping out with many other things. I will also be placed at the RSCC government -run orphanage where I was able to spend time during my last stay.  This was my favorite placement and I feel my heart aching greatly to be back there again.  I cannot wait to get back and hold all hose precious babies again, and I am praying daily that Jonathan is safe and healthy.  Along with the latter placements I will also spend a short while at the Home for Girls, a refuge for abused, trafficked, and neglected young girls.
There are so many things I hope to accomplish during my stay and I know they are only possible through the love and divine will of God.  I am writing this blog today not only to update you on my travel plans but to also ask for your help.  Although this will be my second trip to the Philippines I do not by any means expect it to be a breeze.  The country is still in dire poverty and there are hundreds of children and families there that need my help so greatly.  First and for most I would like to ask for your prayers, whoever you are, wherever you are, this is the greatest gift you can give me.  Secondly, if you are able, I will be accepting donations for VFV which I will deposit into an account and withdrawal once I am in the Philippines as this will be most profitable for the organization. Even donations as small as $5 dollars can go a long way in the Philippines, 1/5 of what it cost a month to sponsor a child. If you do decide to donate I will gladly take a picture with the organizations director as he receives the final check.  Additionally if you would like to donate to me personally so that I can do the most with my time there.  This money will be spent on treats for the children, crafts, games, clothing, and all the little projects that I am sure will come up during my stay.  If you have a specific area you would like you money to go towards, of course let me know and I will be sure it is used wisely in that arena.  Finally, I ask for your support along the way.  During my last stay this blog truly helped me feel connected and supported by everyone at home.  It also allowed me to get the word out about specific children and families that were in direct need of financial support and prayers, and my calls were generously answered by many of you.
During my last trip I was able to find sponsors for 5 children, bring electricity to a family's home, create Vincent's Medical Fund with a case of over 1,000 dollars, and allow 6 children to have much needed dental work.  This time I hope to only magnify the aid I am able to bring and I have no doubt that I can reach my goals.

Thank you so much for your time and support!!

Email me if you would like to become a sponsor or would like to donate to VFV
