Hi Everyone,
Sorry it has been so long since I blogged.  Things have been crazy busy here.  As of now I am not allowed to go to my placement.  The government/department of health is going crazy over the swine flu.  There are now multiple cases in Tacloban.  So we are banned from our placements for a while.  This is actually not that bad for me right now however.
We are planning on taking Vincent to Manila ASAP.  On Saturday Nikki and I went to visit him and he was not doing well.  He was having trouble breathing and we could tell his leg had gotten larger since we had visited him on Thursday.  Vincent is also now unable to walk.  We were both really worried so we decided to take him to the hospital.  When he was weighed at the hospital he weighed only 54 pounds, he looks very ill right now.  After lots of trips between Tacloban and Tanuan we didn't make much headway.  We got Vincent a medicine for infections and they told us we needed to get a work out.  A workout meaning lab work and x-rays.  But they said they couldn't do anything else since it has been a long term issue. We decided against doing the work out.  They also told us that Manila wouldn't accept the workout from here anyway and we would have to do the tests again.  So we are planning to take him to Manila on Tuesday hopefully.  We aren't booking a flight back yet so that we are not in a time crunch.  His 18 year old sister will be traveling with Nikki and I to the doctors.
Please pray for our trip and Vincent's health.  I'm sure this will be a very overwhelming and scary experience for him.
And also pray for the doctors that they can help save Vincent's leg.  We have gotten multiple stories on what caused Vincent's leg to become enlarged and also multiple diagnosis', please hope for the best.

Thank all of you again for your support, I couldn't be doing everything here without your help.

(Sorry the blog is so jumbled I had a long night last night with all the trips back and forth)

This is so sad to hear all of this is happening to that little boy! I hope that he is able to get the treatment he needs and deserves!
