So I am here. Finally where I will be for the next 3 months.  My home stay is literally within 20 feet of the community center.  When I arrived at the community center there were dozens of kids that immediately came up and asked my name.  I was only here for 10 minutes and they already remember my name and are calling me Ate Elsa.  I met my host family and they are very welcoming and friendly.  Right now I am at the community center using my host sister's computer, who works for the community center.  I have the afternoon to settle in and rest and then at 3 pm I will have my orientation.
On the plane ride here I couldn't sit still.  I was just so anxious to get here and now I am so excited to see what this summer has in store for me.  Tacloban City is beautiful so far from what I have seen.  I am going to go pack now, I'll try to write again tomorrow.

Yea pretty much everyone. All the staff and volunteers do. My host mother does but not as well as my host brother and sister.

I can't wait to see and hear more... is the host family's grand baby a boy or girl? How old? Details, I need details!
