Having had our French lesson cancelled Friday morning in Deshaies, we decided to utilise the 3 day window before next lesson to shoot across to Antigua to stock up. We find the EC $ much more favourable than the Euro when shopping. Most importantly beer is about half the price and wine 75% of the price. Leaving at 11am we were a little concerned that it would be dark on arrival but we had a fantastic sail all the way across averaging 7 knots so arrived in time to see the sunset. Felt like we were home again!

Weather not as expected so waves were pushing us so close to shore so we had to up anchor and move out at about 10pm so we could rest easily! Not to be, the waves continued all night and no sleep for Sal as boat rolled and lurched all night - should have had some of Eric's wine!

Next day, admin done we went for fuel, water and goodies then headed out to anchor in different spot, hopefully for a calm night with a much heavier boat!

Sail back will be interesting as no wind forecast, but good news as seas supposed to be flat - may be time for the newly sown A symmetric sail to get its airing.

Up early to see sunrise and away we go - hope to be in Deshaies for supper.

Fab sail and we saw Dolphins!

On return we arrived to see the locals having a jet ski race-Eric heard to say "where's my gun"
