Where I stayed
It was finally time to take a break from La Paz so me, Elliot, Eamonn, Tasha and Trish headed down on an overnight bus to Uyuni to do a 3 day tour of the Salt Flats. A tip for anyone thinking of doing this, don't book in La Paz, wait until you get to Uyuni, we paid $20US less each that way. As it was 6 to a jeep, a guy Ronen joined us then we set off for 3 days of sightseeing. The photos tell a better story about the sights than we could. We arrived back in time for an amazing pizza (from Pizzaman) before getting on the bus back to La Paz. But I have to admit we were a bit lagooned out by the end of it (ooh look a red one, ooh a green one that isn't even green.....).
We got back to Wild Rover to find out that a party was being thrown in our honour that only Tasha and Eamonn managed to attend as the rest of us were too knackered. We also found a whole new list of rules that seemed to have been drawn up after watching us all the previous 2 weeks. We didn't want to get stuck in La Paz again so me, Elliot, Trish and Tasha booked flights up north to Rurrenabaque for some jungle action.
