San Miguel de Tucumán is well comunicated with most cities in Northern Argentina. If you need some info about the province and surroundings, there is a Tourist Information Office in the bus station (box number seven). People are very friendly and warm and provide you with all the maps, list of hotels and circuits to visit.
If you want to go to Tafí del Valle, there are buses every two hours approximately (from San Miguel del Tucumán to Tafí del Valle) on platform number 65, Aconquija Co. And from Tafí del Valle you can go to Amaicha del Valle, Ruinas de Quilmes and then to Cafayate in Salta. The same Co. (Aconquija) covers the distance. You have to find out the timetable in each location since bus frequencies change from time to time.
