There are two things that are impossible to get away from in Southeast Asia.. Mosquito's and cigarettes . Two of my most unfavorite things. They show up at breakfast, and end the day with your dinner, they are both the same.. They are annoying and they're everywhere. There are no rules on smoking here, there's a lot of Europeans, and they light up anywhere anytime, with their meals, on the boat, sitting beside you at your morning coffee. " do  you mind if i smoke?" never is that asked to a non smoker... its really hard to get used to... Yuck.
And then there is the Mosquito's.. I met a girl from England who told me she counted 80 bites on herself, i have about 30... I guess I'm lucky. They don't even announce themselves, they come in quietly and no matter how much repellent with deet you put on, these are tough misquotes, they seem to bite you anyway. If i could cover my fingernails with tape so i wouldn't constantly scratch my bites continually i would... Those are two things i could live without on my travels . But its something you have to accept, because if you cant deal with these two annoyances...You cant come to Southeast  Asia.
We are back in Otres Beach. It was hard leaving the island, but lack of reality and Internet couldn't last forever, so a choppy boat ride later, and we are back on the mainland.
We came back to our mellow otres beach, but couldn't get into our favorite mushroom point bungalows for the first night so we settled with the place next door, Done Right. Looks pretty cute! Carla and i walked by the night we were here last week.
Our tuk tuk pulled up during the day, and in the middle of a slight downpour. We walk towards the front desk.. Hmmm... Looks different during the day. We are led to our igloo style bungalow, and noticed the water leaking onto the bed as
the rain continued to fall outside , different room i asked? We are led to a basic room with no character and same price.. Its just for one night i keep telling myself. The owners are Russian and seem very uninterested in showing much interest or hospitality. I am told "you can buy from down  the road when i ask for toilet paper" its not something you ever flush anyways here, but its a common necessity that us westerners can not seem to live without.  I have mastered that bum water gun though, that thing is pretty nice .
The wifi code is under, " wifi is poison" Ha,,,are they trying to tell us something? Im pretty quick , and I defenitely get what they are thinking about all of us surfing on our phones and computers.Thats not very nice! .  These people really don't seem to be into running a friendly guesthouse ! Done Right, is Done a little Wrong .
We are happy to move back to our friendly mushroom point bungalows in the morning. We are greeted by the nice man running the place with an offer of some of his delicious home baked chocolate cookies. I love chocolate cookies'!! I tell him.
" they will make you happy all day long...." He smiles. . How happy i ask. " very, very happy" he opens the box to show the individually wrapped cookies with a lot of green color to them. Ahhh, i see. No thank you ! With all the strict drug laws you hear about in Cambodia, its sure not very enforced here!
We spend the day at the beach cookie free and discover that you can get better food from the local vendors who cone by and sell it right to your beach chair. I buy some fresh pineapple cored and sliced right in front of me and some fresh grill calamari as well. I'm getting more and more brave. I have not gotten sick yet and Ive eaten alot of great local food and eaten in some crazy places. I hope my luck doesn't run out today...

Hi Eliz,
I've stayed on the beach in Sihonoukville & loved the area. Have fun. I just returned from Qatar last week.

Water leaking on your bed? That doesn't sound good. I am glad you could stay at the other place the next night! I hope you didn't get sick off of food! Those beaches look very nice! Ah and that dog in the table...so cute!
