Show trip route
After many hours on the bus, Silver and I arrived here and with our surprise we had the sensation it was a totally different place than the quite Mui Ne...i would say a way in between Saigon and Mui Ne, as for its combination of traffic, busy ans noisy streets crowded with book, sunglasses, pictures and fruit sellers...and a quite promenade and beach area!
This combination worked quite well for me as i was getting a bit bored in the end in the too quite Mui Ne and i was intoxicated by the heavily polluted Saigon :) ahaha!
We spend the first day checking out the beach situation, had some very fresh sea food barbecue and tasted local wine (...!!!....), playing the Rossella O'Hara and Superman roles at the beach (after Vietnamese wine..)..We walked a little around the city but the fact that there is basically nothing to see and temperatures are pretty high, discouraged us to explore the city well..
On our second day we took a boat trip to visit the nearby islands...The beaches, the islands themselves and the snorkeling were pretty bad honestly..ahaha! but the real highlight of the whole trip and i would say of the whole time here in Nha Trang was our boat man!!!
Since we first stepped on the boat he took a microphone and did not stop to talk even for a second, the all day long. And he was not only talking. He was singing, dancing, cooking and serving lunch to all the passengers, playing live vietnamese music on the boat, selling bum bum soups, placing fake flowers all over the boat, being in charge of the floating bar, drinking quite a lot himself, arranging the snorkeling for everybody, selling tickets for an acquarium, describing breafly all the fish species we would have admired with a biologist perfection.., wishing us happy birthday, merry Christmas, happy easter and happy new year..ahaha
Indeed a One-man-show I miss him!!!!
After the boat trip i was exhausted from all the activity we did and my head was seriously spinning for to the Vietnamese wine i drunk while floating together with the one-man-show and the other passengers at the floating bar :))
The following day we spent some time at the beach, sunbathing, walking along the long stretch of sand, reading our books and waiting for the night sleeping bus heading north..
Bye Bye Nha Trang!
