This morning we were able to have a long and leisurely lay in to enjoy being back in Podgorica. We headed up to Cetinje around lunchtime and once we got there we went and enjoyed some extremely tasty pizza. Now, the pizza in Montenegro has such thin crust pizza and little cheese, that it almost looks like it is healthy! :P I got a smoked ham, mushroom and mozzarella pizza... and YUM!

After lunch, we went to one of the museums that displayed some artifacts from the ruling family including the family´s royal jewels and their pool table. Well, i don´t recall viewing the royal jewels, or that this museum was all that interesting. Luckily, afterward we went to the Palace of King Nikola (The first and last King of Montenegro) and his Queen, Milena. King Nikola reigned as Prince from 1860 to 1910 and as King from 1910 to 1918 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_I_of_Montenegro).
The Palace turned out to be well worth the couple of Euros that we paid, as the tour guide spoke fantastic English considering Montenegrins typically don't know too much of it. The Palace we beyond breathtaking but we were unfortunately unable to take any pictures, and the gift shop did not have any postcards that I could buy as a substitute. :(

After the Palace, while Marianne and Pete went for a coffee, Aunt Sue and I wandered over to the Cetinje Monastery. I absolutely loved it and it was one of the best i have seen so far. It is too bad that i didn't think ahead, as i showed up in shorts and a tank top and didn't feel comfortable looking around too much knowing that i could get kicked out if they see me. :S After the monastery, we joined Pete and Marianne for a drink and headed home.

(p.s. Pics to come on travelpod later when i have time...)
