Done with another week of class.  My classes have Japanese, Taiwanese, French and American students and the teachers donīt speak much English, so thereīs never any temptation to resort to using English.  Itīs intimidating, but helpful.

I donīt miss dining dollars as much as I thought I would.  Itīs probably because Euros donīt quite seem like real money.  Theyīre too pretty.

I can now type just as fast on a Spanish keyboard as an American one.  Theyīre more different than you would think.

The University of Alicante campus has so many water features.  Tons of fountains and reflecting ponds.  I discover a new one every day

I bought a camera and understood everything the saleswoman said.

Donīt check your account balance on a EU atm.  Youīll panic when you think youīre missing a whole lot of money.  Iīm looking forward to checking my account balance somewhere with an awesome exchange rate.  Poland or Morocco maybe.

I got a question right on a Spanish trivia show called Pasapalabra.  The answer was Sancho Panza.

I discovered that the church I go to has a side chapel with the most beautiful statue of Mary that I have ever seen.  Itīs like a life size Christmas tree angel.  Didnīt have my camera with me today, but Iīll put up a picture soon.

I told my host mom, Maria, a story about when I was little.  I asked my mom if we could get a cat.  She said that if we got a cat, Dad would have to live somewhere else so I asked if we would still be able to visit him. Maria laughed and laughed.
