One cannot stay in Paradise forever, and unfortunately it is time for me to move on from Palolem Beach. Counting back, I've had 10 (or 11) days here, but honestly it seems like months. Time seems to get trapped here, in little eddies, so that the normal ebb & flow almost passes you by. It's been an amazing and relaxing time on the beach, and exactly what I needed.
10 days of sunning myself on a perfect beach, and not once did I get bored. I've met a procession of wonderful people...no, friends...here, and I know that I'll definitely be back.

But it is time to get back on the road, and I risk becoming immovably becalmed if I remain here in Palolem too much longer. And the road goes ever on and on...
So my pack is on my back, for almost the first time in two weeks, and Kerala awaits me. I only have 3 weeks left in India, and I'm going to head south, back into real India, to "God's Own Country" as Kerala is known by the locals. I can't wait to experience South India, proper, and I suspect that I'm going to love it. Will let you know.
Also, I've found myself a travel buddy for a wee while - Laura, from England. Should be fun!

In the meantime, I'm enviably tanned, totally relaxed, and, thank god, still healthy. Could be worse... :)

Love to all, and farewell from Paradise.

Connor.
