We got up early to go and see a short film entitled 'Ata Whenua / Shadowland' which takes you around the Fiordlands from a helicopter's-eye-view, seeing as we hadn't been able to see them the day before!! This was such a spectacular cinematic experience that both Rob and I had to get the Dvd!!

As we were heading out of Te Anau we passed a sign that I couldn't resist, Skydiving, and it was such a beautiful day - our best yet, clear blue skies and warm sunshine - how could I pass up such an opportunity... so within an hour of making the decision I was strapped up and heading to the skies in a Cessna 175. At 12,000 ft me and my tandem instructor, Ronan, jumped out and did a freefall for 50 seconds before the parachute was released and we gently came back down to earth!! It was a fantastic experience which has been captured on DVD to remember for always!!!

After that we headed to Invercargill - the deep south of NZ!!
