Drove down to the Punakaiki Pancake rocks - they are a strange geological formation - and it was good to see them despite the rain!!

We then continued on to Greymouth - which unfortunately was grey and wet, however we did go to the Jade Boulder Gallery, which I feel is the best place to find some good jade - they now have a Jade Trail exhibition (which wasn't there 4 years ago) - with some stunning pieces, some of which were hideously expensive but beautifully crafted.... if only the bank balance could cope!!!

The excitement for the rest of the day was shopping for food, doing the washing, and finishing a good book!!
