So we did the Beaver Fever Trip to Algonquin National Park (which is bigger than Wales, and one of the oldest Provincial Parks in Canada!) from the 12-14th with Moose Travel. There were 6 of us travelling up to Northern Ontario, past miles and miles of autumnal forests, golds and reds galore!!! Lovely!
We spent two days hiking, canoeing and swimming in fresh water lakes. It was hot at 30+degrees (still freakish weather and the hottest September for 50 years! - Good timing!).
Great to be out in the wilderness, although it was too hot to see any scarey wildlife that wasn't stuffed in the visitor centre!!!!
Evenings were spent round the campfire with acoustic guitars - but we wished the Chalmers were here!!
Had to put up with a bus load of annoying teenagers, they get everywhere, but I suppose in the maturity of our years we have to allow them a little grace!!!! (How old and grumpy are we!??!?!)
The sights and sounds were amazing....photo's to follow shortly!
