The Citadel was amazing. It is a area containing both the Mosque and Palace of Mohammad Ali and is absolutely beautiful! The Mosque and Palace are completely covered in marble which is rumored to be stolen from one pyramid at Giza. I wasn't able to snap many shots inside the palace as photography was not allowed. I did however capture the view from his palace and some of his escape route... but mostly of the Mosque.

Also showcased is Al Azhar Park. Only 30 years ago this 74-acre park was know as the city dump. It's historical value was found after the excavation of ancient landmarks and the park rescue began! Please make it stop if you find yourself in Cairo.
