The island was pretty dreary and cold. There were some pretty impressive houses, or I should say Mansions
. I kept wondering how a girl could disappear on an island? Wealthy people have a lot of money which means they have a lot of power and influence. Could there be a cover up? Maybe the person who is responsible is on the island at this very moment. I started getting really interested in this girl Harriet and found myself looking for her as if she’d walk right out of the woods. I didn’t meet any of the Vanger family, which was disappointing because I was getting really into this cold case.
I returned back to my hotel in Stockholm to relax. The T.V. was flashing something different this time. I recognized the name Vanger. There were pictures of his home and what looked like a crime scene. There was also an image of a car wreck. These Vangers are very intriguing.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
I'm in Stockholm, Sweden now. I’ll tell you right now that I don’t understand much of what people are saying here but I can tell that this guy Mikael is all over the news channels and newspapers. He doesn’t really look like a criminal, but I can tell that he is in trouble. Anyway, I was told that the island Hedeby was very nice and if I had a chance I should take a rental car and drive it over the only bridge that connects this small island to the mainland. Apparently a very wealthy family lives there, the Vangers. Honestly, it didn’t really sound cool enough to make the trip, but I was also told that there is a story that goes with the island. A member of the Vanger family disappeared in 1966 and the case was never closed. This peaked my interest; who knows maybe I’ll find her.
