Where I stayed
So I've been staying with my friend Victor in Plymouth, Massachusetts; orr rather, the tourist trap recreation of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Victor is an employee at the Colonial America theme park. He plays an indentured servant, just a poor townsman working monotonous chores. Victor and I have been good friends for a long time, so I decided to pay him a visit despite Colonial Town being so far out of my path. Victor's mother has been growing more sick in the hospital, losing her memory and growing paranoid; we visited her shortly after my arrival. I felt I owed it to Victor to comfort him, since we are such good friends. She didn’t recognize me in the least. After the visit we headed back home to Victor’s place for the night. Victor lives in his mother’s old home, a fairly nice home but with the inescapable vibe of abandonment by any sort of housekeeper or real home owner. The way Victor maintains it, he may as well be squatting. The house is in the old town, away from the new designer developments with quaint street names like "Cherry Field way" and “Apple St”. Here the houses are all unique, the people are eclectic, and everyone locks their car doors at night. Not the nicest part of town, but it’s a roof. In the evening, Victor’s friend Denny came over and we all sat out on the front lawn and enjoyed the humid summer air. It was nice to relax for a night.
