Hi all,

Just a quick update. We arrived in the small city of Campo Grande this morning after an overnight bus journey from Sau Paulo. Bus from Rio to Sau Paulo was insanely comfy and would have happily stayed there all night. Unfortunately after a 6 hour journey to Sau Paulo we had to change buses. We hadn´t been informed however that our next bus would be leaving from a different station in Sau Paulo so had to quickly get a taxi over there on our dwindling supply if Brazilian Reis. Next bus was still pretty comfy but not good enough for a proper nights sleep. Campo Grande is a bit of a change from Rio. Its pretty small, hot and dusty and seems to be purely a stopover point for people going on pantanal tours which is what we´ve spent most of today deciding. We´ve booked into a cheap hostel tonight, although it does have a swimming pool. About to go out and start haggling over tour prices. Reckon on a 3 day tour finishing on the Bolivian border before taking the ´Death Train´ to Santa Cruz.
