Discovered riding rain and McD`s

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

So our famous 5 (in their own 5 minutes) woke to find the rain had arrived...but this was not the first time they had awoken...no no no, Gareth was greeted by a loud humming noise and a banging at 1.30am......it turned out the humming sound was FOZ snoring (it had become a hum due to constant exposure - you know, like white noise), but the neighbour in the next caravan clearly heard this as "super loud, wake the neighbours" snoring, and promply knocked on the TIN CAN`s door to protest. So Gareth made his way, in his SUPER TED PJ`s to the door, rubbed his eyes, to discover a long snake of camp site residents baying for blood...Meanwhile FOZ remains asleep.......so after Gaz acts as pacifier, the boys roll FOZ into the recovery position, the hum stops, and all return to bed......Its a good job the boys are moving on....

The ride starts in good spirits, which are only slightly dampened by the continuing rain (Les apparently has a smile on his dry warm face all day), and progress is made. A brief stop to have a McDonalds Big breakfast perks the lads up, and its onwards and upwards......
The ride took them into Wales, the guys had been riding in two contried in one day....now where are the sheep.
92 miles complete the boys settle down fo the night, with newly purchased ear plugs, for the any neighbours that may require them.

"This LEJOG" caper aint that tough, famous last words Remmeth.....
