What I did
The most famous square of Buenos Aires. Overlooking the square is the Casa Rosada or the red painted presidential palace. Furthermore the Mayo Pyramid, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Bank, the town hall, and the painted symbols on the pavement of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo who lost their children in the period of dictatorship.
Avenido de Mayo, a Parisian-style boulevard, links the Casa Rosada with the National Congress building. Many nice cafés, bars and bookstores are found here.
