After that village called Put-in-Bay,Chicago was something totally different and way more interesting.I had luck with weather while I was there (it was unusualy hot for begining of October) but also with people I've met there. It wasn't smooth on begining,my host got sick so I ended up with staying at Adam's place (cool teacher and CS member).City itself was pretty alive cos of the 30th marathon that was during my stay there.Since it was so hot, final result of marathon was actually death of several people,a lot of them in the hospital and race that was ended before it should end...Although,it was interesting "chasing" Adam's friend that was running on marathon and cheering him on "gates" posted on corners of different streets.
During my stay there I wasn't in mood for visiting any of museums (although they have great museums) so I can't tell anything about them but things that I've seen and I really liked are "Sears tower" (huge building that was the tallest building on the world for 26 years, built in 1973,in interesting shape.View on city from 103rd floor is absolutely amasing! You can see everything....Navy pear,Grand park, lake Michigan......),then Navy pear (cool place on water with a lot of shops, great view on downtown Chicago, big boats-restaurants that sail on lake, house of horror,an old car found in lake with 2 bodies in it....),Millenium park (with strange water fountain that looks like a box and has human faces on it and in one moment water just goes out of man's or woman's mouth and makes you all wet),Grand park that goes all the way next to the lake with beautiful Buckingham fountain in it,White Sox stadium.....Of course, downtown is interesting to wonder around, take pictures of interesting buildings and have fun at night. One more thing....City is full of good looking boys :)
