Of course after the Inca Trial and out drinking till 5am, we treated ourselves to a little lie-in, and with the joys of having fresh clean clothes to wear we skipped off in to town. Not to explore, that could wait, but to exploit one of the advantages of being in a tourist trap town such as Cusco - the full English breakfast!

With a bit more sleep under our belts, the next day we explored some of Cuscos sights. Although a bit sleazy at night during the day Cusco is a beautiful town. A lot of it is built on Inca foundations - massive stones blocks creating amazingly close fitting walls. We started the day at Sacsayhuaman, on a hill just out of town and an impressive example of Inca walls with humungous 130 ton rocks piled high and great views of the city to boot. Wandered in to town through the cobbled back streets, ambling along taking in the Plaza and beautiful Cathedral. Visited a few rubbish museums as they were included on our Sacsayhuaman ticket.

Dave and Stephen decided to brave the Peruvian barbers for a haircut and beard trim. We found a nice traditional looking one with ever so friendly staff. A cheerful old boy began to merrily hack away at Daves head, with old blunt kitchen scissors. With a bit of diplomacy and slight force we managed to hold him back and keep him from having Daves ear off. One of the younger barbers took over, and with the words 'There´s only one thing I can do with this...' proceeded to shave it off. Only joking! but he did have to do a botch job cover up and Dave, much to everyones amusement, came away with the kind of haircut your mum gives you on the morning of your school photos. As some consolation, Stephen came away looking the same. Teena and Erica are growing their hair....
